From Barbie Play to Big Ideas: The Invention of SprawlyWalls
There’s something magical about watching your child’s imagination take flight. I had one of those moments that felt like an epiphany—an "aha" moment, if you will—that would shape the future of a toy I could never have imagined before.
It started with a simple play session. My 7-year-old daughter was busy creating new worlds with her Barbies and Poly Pocket dolls. But this time, instead of just arranging the dolls in her 'standard' dollhouses, she was using cardboard toy bricks to build rooms that sprawled across the floor. It was an entirely new approach to her play, one that brought a fresh dynamic to the narrative she was weaving.
And then it hit me: What if this could be a toy?
In that moment, SprawlyWalls was born—a creative solution that encourages imaginative play, and perhaps even more importantly, fosters valuable life skills.
